The Aurora Pro Clean Green Commitment Charity Day was held at Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park which is owned by the council and managed by The Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park.

The park has just been awarded its first Green Flag which is national achievement. It also received a Trees For A Greener London - RE:LEAF community grant.

William Rodriguez Managing Director at Aurora said, “We are committed to a number of green initiatives in 2012. Supporting the Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park was hard work but the team thought it was really worthwhile. We are a small part of the 3,000 volunteers who help out at the park every year”.

The Cemetery Park is a rich home to a great many animals and plants. The cemetery is a key partner in Tower Habitats, Tower Hamlets Biodiversity Action Plan Partnership. The park has a large number of records for species that are National Notable, Scare, Red Data Book or UKBAP species. This huge diversity of wild life makes the park a very exciting place and adds to the importance of the Park and contributes to its long term security.

Aurora actively support a number of charities every year and encourage their teams to take up to 3 paid days off per year to support charities of their choice.
